About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking to procure a Mechanism Motor Operator (NSN 6105-007696106) through a firm-fixed price Request for Proposal (RFP). The procurement is specifically restricted to L3HARRIS Maritime Power & Energy as the approved source, with a critical application designation requiring engineering source approval. Potential alternate offerors must submit a complete data package (SAR) for evaluation, though alternate offers will not be considered for the current award but may be evaluated for future procurements. The solicitation will be available in DIBBS on January 27, 2025, with proposals to be evaluated based on a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other factors. The due date for proposals is March 4, 2025, and all offers must be submitted in English and U.S. dollars.
The procurement does not have a specific set-aside designation and is open to all responsible sources. The estimated quantity is 19 units, with no option periods included. Delivery is estimated at 600 days after order (ADO) or the best available timeline. The contract will be FOB origin with inspection and acceptance at destination. While the precise contract value is not specified, the procurement is for a single contract through direct delivery. The item is a specialized motor (Part Number ETN6797) that requires strict engineering approval, indicating a potentially high-value and technically complex procurement. The acquisition may be subject to the Trade Agreements Act of 1979 and is not being processed under standard commercial item acquisition policies.
