Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Maintenance and Repair Services of Laboratory Equipment
Description(s):

The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to TechOne Biomedical, 10115 Franklin Ave, Franklin Park, IL. 60131, for Maintenance and Repair Services of Laboratory Equipment, which ais installed at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The provided supplies and services period of performance will be April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2023.


The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the business size standard is $20.5 million dollars. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Tech One is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required services and no other services will satisfy the agency's requirements.


The purpose of this Purchase Order is to obtain Maintenance and Repair Services of Sakura Embedding Center, a Sakura Tissue Processor, two Leica Microtome, and 6 Thermo Microtome (Models HM-355S and HM315) All with preventive maintenance, service, parts and a 24 hour emergency response repair.


This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS' requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Christopher Fisher at Christopher.fisher@nih.gov and are due by 11:00 AM ET on March 6, 2019. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
