Added: Jun 02, 2015 2:52 pm This is a labor hour contract. It is impossible to describe in precise detail or specifications the nature of the work to be done; only the ultimate objectives and scope of work can be outlined. It is not possible to accurately predict the precise number of labor hours required per labor category over the life of the effort. Government principals involved in the projected work and work similar to efforts of this nature concur that this effort warrants the use of a LH contract. In the case of the proposed effort, the magnitude and complexity of the workload fluctuates and cannot be predicted. Numerous different types of actions, all within the scope of the effort, may be required from the contractor during the period of performance. However, the timing and extent of these efforts cannot accurately be estimated. Because of the lack of specificity available at this time, a firm-fixed-price contract type is not advisable for this effort.
