About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the Defense Logistics Agency Energy extends contract SPE602-20-D-0489 with the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation for bulk fuel requirements. The contract provides for an estimated 30 million gallons of Turbine Fuel, 18 million gallons of Diesel Fuel, and 3.5 million gallons of Unleaded Mid-Grade Motor Gasoline, delivered Free on Board origin into tank trucks within Kuwait.
The extension is executed on an other than full and open competition basis, as the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation is the only responsible source able to provide these fuels from Kuwait in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The contract extension is for one year, through June 30, 2023, with a 30-day carry-over period. No capability statements will be accepted from other vendors in response to this Special Notice due to the unusual and compelling nature of the requirement that only Kuwait Petroleum Corporation can fulfill the needed fuels sourced from within Kuwait.
