The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has awarded a one-year firm-fixed price indefinite quantity contract to supply between 420,000 to 500,000 doses of purified, inactivated Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine per year. The vaccine must be Vero Cell culture derived, contain no stabilizers or preservatives, be latex free, licensed by the FDA, suitable for intramuscular administration, and intended for active immunization against Japanese Encephalitis for persons 2 months and older. Doses shall be delivered to the Defense Distribution Depot Susquehanna within 120 days of order placement under the contract.

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has a requirement for the supply of Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine (JEV), NSN 6505-01-607-7018. The vaccine shall be purified, inactivated, Vero Cell culture derived, contain no stabilizers, Thimerosal/Preservative free, Latex free, licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), suitable for intramuscular administration and intended for active immunization against Japanese Encephalitis disease. The vaccine shall be a sterile 0.5 ml suspension in a pre-filled syringe (Type 1 glass) with a plunger stopper (chlorobutyl elastomer) with or without a separate needle. The vaccine must be approved by the United States FDA for administration to persons 2 months and up.


The proposed contract will be a one (1) year firm-fixed price indefinite quantity contract.


The estimated annual minimum requirement is 420,000 doses and the estimated maximum is 500,000 doses.


Ordered quantities shall be delivered to the Defense Distribution Depot Susquehanna. Delivery is to be FOB Destination and delivered within 120 days from date of the delivery order.


All responsible sources may submit a proposal and shall be considered by the Agency.


The successful contractor shall have FDA approval to sell JEV before award of the contract.



Solicitation SPE2DP-18-R-0111 is expected to be issued approximately June 2018 and can be found on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. The point of contact is Danielle Delaney, DLA Troop Support-FSA, 215-737-2998.


The Solicitation will be issued under authority 10 U.S.C. 2034 (c) 1, only one responsible source.
