About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps seeks organizational maintenance and repair services for tactical vehicles assigned to the III Marine Expeditionary Force in Japan. The contractor shall perform preventive maintenance checks and services, corrective maintenance including fault isolation and replacement of minor parts. Proposals shall be evaluated based on technical approach, past performance, and price. Questions are due by June 17, 2020, with proposals due July 6, 2020. The contractor shall commence work within 60 days of award for a one year base period and four one-year options.

There is no set-aside designation. The requirement involves NAICS 811192 and PSC J019 maintenance services to be performed in Okinawa, Japan. The contractor must be capable of completing 200 preventive maintenance actions and 40 corrective maintenance repairs per month split between northern and southern Okinawa sites. The period of performance is from September 2020 through September 2023.

The requirement involves the completion of organizational maintenance and repair services on tactical vehicles assigned to the III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) in an effort improve maintenance readiness.  Organizational maintenance focuses on the operator and crew preventive/corrective measures required by technical publications, equipment failure, and service schedules.  Organizational maintenance normally consist of inspecting, servicing, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing parts, minor assemblies, and subassemblies.  This support includes operator checks and services, organic level preventive maintenance checks and service, corrective maintenance to include inspection,   identification of discrepancies (fault isolation), inspection of parts prior to installation, and inspection of maintenance work for quality control.  The requirement will not include ordering or paying for parts or POLs required to complete maintenance.  The requirement also does not include recording maintenance actions into the Marine Corps maintenance system of record. The government intends to retain the responsibility to order and pay for parts, as well as for inducting maintenance actions into the system of record.
