About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Quantum Sensors Division is seeking to procure a high-precision sample positioning stage for use in a scanning electron microscope (SEM) as part of a CHIPS Metrology Program project. The stage must meet specific technical requirements outlined in the Statement of Work, including a rotational range of at least 120 degrees, fine motion translation range of at least 150 mm in X/Y/Z with 30 nm absolute error, and positional drift of no more than 50 nm per minute. The solicitation is being issued using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5, and NIST will evaluate quotations based on technical capability, demonstrated experience, and price.
This is an unrestricted competition, with no set-aside designation. The award will be a single firm-fixed-price purchase order for the fully integrated stage solution, including delivery, installation, training, and a minimum 1-year warranty. The place of performance is Boulder, CO 80305, USA. The total quantity required is one stage, and the period of performance will be defined in the resulting purchase order.
