About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command seeks to procure three high power amplifiers to be used primarily by the 527th Space Aggressor Squadron in conjunction with the AN/TSC-16 Quad-Band Dual Hub Terminal and AN/USC-60A Flyaway Tri-Band Satellite Terminal. The amplifiers must operate within 5.850 to 14.50 GHz, produce output powers of 325 Watts for C and Ku-band and 450 Watts for X-band, and comply with MIL-STD-188-165A requirements. Interested parties may submit statements of capability by May 30, 2020 at 4:30 PM Mountain Time to demonstrate how competition would be advantageous, cost-effective, and not hinder the mission objective.
There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. The amplifiers will operate within the frequency range of 5.850 to 14.50 GHz, produce specific output powers, and comply with military standard 188-165A. Comtech Xicom is identified as the potential incumbent. The contract would have a 60-day delivery timeline following award for the three amplifiers sought, with an estimated value under the simplified acquisition threshold.
