This solicitation seeks fire inspection services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 23. The contractor will be required to perform testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all fire protection systems at the Omaha VA Health Care System in Omaha, Nebraska, the Lincoln Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the Grand Island Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Grand Island, Nebraska. Services include portable fire extinguisher inspections and maintenance, fire sprinkler system testing, fire alarm system testing, fire hydrant testing, and kitchen hood suppression system testing. Quotes will be evaluated based on price and technical acceptability factors related to the offeror's ability to provide the required services at each location and past performance references. Quotes must be submitted by February 9, 2021 at 11:59pm CST to the contracting officer.
The solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The place of performance is the three specified VA locations in Nebraska. The potential base period of performance is one year with four optional one year extension periods. Wage determinations have been provided for relevant occupations in Douglas, Lancaster, Hall, and surrounding Nebraska counties.

The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha, NE requires a qualified contractor to perform the following Fire Inspection services: Perform testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair for all fire protection systems in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), local codes, The Joint Commission, and manufacturer recommended procedures (of each type of system). The contractor shall deliver a written report describing the test and inspection results and other services performed. The contractor shall provide all transportation, shipping, labor, tools, equipment, and materials to accomplish the work.
