Added: Jul 27, 2009 5:13 pm The USDA Forest Service, Payette National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the chip sealing of approximately 4 miles of Goose Lake Road #50257. The project consists of sealing approximately 12, 915 feet of cracks typically averaging between 1/8 and 1 wide and repairing several potholes and areas of soft shoulders as designated in the supplemental specifications, 414.05. Area to be chip sealed will include all asphalt turnouts, intersections, and curve widening



The project can be reached by traveling north from McCall, Idaho on Hwy 55 approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Goose Lake Road #50257. Project begins at the highway right of way as staked in the field.



The Forest Service intends to issue a solicitation for this project utilizing FAR Part 14 procedures for sealed bidding. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for HUBzone Business concerns. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the lowest total price that meets the technical requirements outlined in the solicitation.



Payment Protection will be required for this project and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply to any resulting contract. This solicitation will be available on or about August 10, 2009. The period of performance for this project will be 30 days from the issuance of the Notice which is anticipated to be issued on or about September 15, 2009.



All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the bidder will render a bidder ineligible for award.
