Notice text

Added: Feb 15, 2018 10:34 am The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support- Philadelphia is conducting market research on Generator Sets to support Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Relief Operations in order to protect against, respond to, recover from, or mitigate against threatened or actual major or catastrophic disasters and emergencies - both natural and man-made, including acts of terror. DLA is seeking input from potential small and large businesses.

This acquisition would provide generators via lease/rental when the nearest FEMA generator fleet has a shortfall in inventory or does not have the generator sizes or quantities in inventory when an emergency response in required. The Government intends to make multiple award five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) supply contracts with post-award competition of delivery orders.

The Government requires contractors to provide industrial diesel powered generators with all necessary fuel tanks and fuel lines (with proper connections) via lease/rental. However, the Government may purchase generators, including new/unused product. Generators for lease/rental are in the following band sizes:

• Range 1: 15-60kW Prime Power
• Range 2: 61-100kW Prime Power
• Range 3: 101-200kW Prime Power
• Range 4: 201-400kW Prime Power
• Range 5: 401-704kW Prime Power
• Range 6: 705kW-1mW Prime Power
• Range 7: 1.1mW - 2mW Prime Power

This inquiry is issued for the purpose of market research only and the Government is in no way obligated to purchase any material because of this inquiry. No information provided in response to this inquiry will be considered binding between the vendor and the Government and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. With these facts in mind, it is requested that you review the above and answer the questions on the attached survey. The answers you provide will remain confidential. Please return this survey to Vanh.Thonthongchith@dla.mil or Gerard.Corcoran@dla.mil by COB March 9, 2018. If a solicitation or solicitations would result, it/they would be synopsized on the FedBizOpps website and it would be the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for any such notices.
