Notice text
REPAIR: This is an EMERGENGY REQUIREMENT. This acquisition is a teaming agreement between Boeing and L-3 Communications. Boeing contracted L-3 to design, develop, and produce the Flat Panel Up Front Control (FPUFC). Although the data is proprietary to L-3, Boeing owns the rights to the data until 2016 when their agreement/contract expires. This effort tasks the contractor to provide services, material and equipment necessary for test evaluation, calibration and repair of the FPUFC to a serviceable condition along with the necessary engineering to investigate Deficiency Reports and Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs). The FPUFC is a multifunction control used in the F-15E to control and display status of communication, navigation and identification systems. It utilizes a single, new technology Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) flat panel display to replace the current segmented LCDs of the USAF Up Front Control (UFC). Not only are the old LCDs unreliable, but they are obsolete as well. The FPUFC is also night vision imaging compatible, providing a complete solution for all reliability and obsolescence issues currently facing the USAF UFC.
Awarded contract FA8538-16-C-0001 to The Boeing Company for $677,352.60 on 2016-03-10.
