About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Nevada Region is seeking proposals for a firm fixed-price contract to provide tree thinning (mastication/grinding) services on approximately 251 acres of pinyon pine and Utah juniper in the Diamond Valley area. The purpose of the project is to improve the health of sagebrush and woodland ecological sites, reduce wildfire risk, and enhance wildlife habitat. The government will evaluate quotes based on Technical Capabilities, Past Performance, and Price, with Technical and Past Performance being more important than Price. Quotes are due by June 6, 2024 at 5:00 PM local time.
Paragraph 2:
This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Total Small Businesses. No information is provided about potential incumbents or current contractors. The expected period of performance is between September 1, 2024 and December 1, 2024. The Statement of Work outlines the detailed requirements for the mastication treatment, including leaving certain trees ungrinded, limiting stump height, and creating a mulch layer less than 5 inches deep. Payment will be made on a per-acre basis for the 251 acres of work to be performed in Lander County, Nevada.
