Walla Walla Cable TV and Internet Services Questions
The scope text says;
Provide internet service to Building 74 Room 106 with a standard ethernet connection.
Internet Service is required to be a 1 Gig HSD
Provide TV service to exterior coaxial cable connection.
TV connection to Building 49, video with 1 box
TV connection to Building 140, video with 3 boxes
Question 1. What does 1 box and 3 boxes mean?
Is a box a television set, or does the box distribute out to multiple television sets?
Answer 1. Its a cable box that outputs a HDMI signal.
Q 2. How many rooms/ TV s are getting a feed?
A 2. Three rooms in Bldg. 140, one room in Bldg. 49 with one TV per room.
Q 3. What channels do you want?
A 3. Basic cable (Variety of news, sports and entertainment minimum 50 channels including at 5 major news channels, local news channels, ESPN) and NFL network.
Q 4. What type of televisions do you have? Are they updated to receive HD signal MPEG 3-4?
A 4. Sharp LC-80le844u, Sharp LC-70LE847U x 3, Yes they can use MPEG 4.
Q 5. Is there a guest internet connect (hardline) we could use to monitor our smartbox?
A 5. No, no hardline guest internet connection in the cable TV rooms.
Q 6. Do you have a headend to distro your signal?
A 6. Yes, single connection at the building then runs through existing cabling.
Q 7. Are all your buildings on campus currently connected to the main building infrastructure? (One comms room signal distributed throughout the campus).
A 7. Yes, system is set up to distribute from Bldg. 74 room 106.
Q 8. If you don t already have DirecTV can a Satellite (non-penetration mounted sit in the area with the VA satellite?)
A 8. Current system is cable, satellite can be mounted where directed by local VA representative.
Q 9. Do you currently have service? Who is the incumbent and what is the contract number?
A 9. Current service is with Spectrum. Contract # 36C26023P0026.
