This is a combined solicitation/synopsis. This project is for 2015 Deep Canyon Fuels Reduction Project to thin and shred ponderosa pine stands and understory vegetation in order to improve overall stand health and to mitigate fire hazard. on approximately 100 acres of USFS (Public) land on the Pagosa Ranger District near the town of Pagosa Springs, CO. The proposed treatments under this contract include mechanical thinning, mowing and shredding of ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, white fir, Rocky Mountain juniper and Gambel oak and associated shrubs. All work shall be performed within the Pagosa Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest near the town of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
This project is 100% Set-Aside for small businesses. The NAICS Code for this project is 115310 and the small business size standard is $17.5M. The solicitation for this project will be available only through the Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted via hard copy to the address provided in the solicitation or via email to Ginger Domingos at gingerdomingos@fs.fed.us.
All Offerors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov in accordance to FAR 52.204-7 and must respond to all evaluation criteria in Section M of the solicitation to be considered responsive to this solicitation. Offerors to fail to meet these three criteria will not be considered in the Technical Evaluation of offers.
A formal site visit has been scheduled for August 20, 2015 at 9:30 am from the Pagosa Ranger District. The solicitation is attached to this announcement. The actual due date is identified on the solicitation.
