Synopsis:
US Environmental Protection Agency Research Triangle Park Procurement Operations Division intends to issue a sole source contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The requirement consists of Radiation Detection Equipment Services Agreement for the Radiation and Indoor Environments National Laboratory (RIENL), a division of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Office of Air and Radiation (OAR). RIENL is responsible for minimizing exposure to radiation through environmental measurements using technologically advanced radiation detection equipment and techniques. It is necessary to obtain technical support, preventative maintenance, performance verification, and software installation, packages, and patches to maintain the proper operation of the radiation detection equipment. The government has determined that Canberra Industries, Inc. is the only source that can satisfy this agency requirement.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communication is not acceptable in response to this notice.
