The White River National Forest is seeking qualified vendors for urgent cleaning and/or repairs to a large 12 hole composting toilet system located at the Maroon Bells Visitor Center near Aspen, Colorado. The composting action is currently not working. This procurement may result in one or two contracts according to the capability of the contractor and the best interest of the Goverment.
Scope of the Cleaning:
Provide all labor, materials and incidentals necessary to remove and dispose of the existing human waste and compost material in the 13ft by 23ft concrete vault of the composting toilet at the visitors center at the Maroon Bells Recreation Area. The depth of the composting material is approximately 2-3 feet deep. Approximately 6 inches of composting material will be left on top of the air manifold and liner system. The 12 hole composting toilet was constructed approximately in 2002.
Scope of the Inspection and Possible Repairs:
Provide all labor, materials and incidentals necessary to check the functioning of the mechanical systems for the composting toilet. This equipment includes the air compressor and air manifold system, the intake and exhaust fan system and associated piping and the water misting system.
