Notice text
Added: Oct 12, 2016 5:08 am Provide blood donor testing for the Zika Virus for the Armed Services Blood Bank Center-Europe (ASBBC-E). The Government will not exercise any supervision or control over the Contractor employees performing services herein. Such employees shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government. This testing requirement is a result of guidance from USAMRMC requiring all DoD Blood Donor Centers (BDC) to participate in an Investigational Drug (IND) study using FDA approved protocol testing for the Zika Virus. The approved IND test kit is currently unlicensed but is allowed for use under an emergency use authorization (EUA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The IND testing is only offered by select blood donor testing centers.
