About this opportunity

The Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection published a Special Notice regarding a sole source award to Ultrax Aerospace. The notice seeks ongoing calibration, upgrade, and repair support services for 17 specialized testing devices used in Blackhawk helicopter maintenance over a five year base period and four option years.

The Special Notice provides details on the agency's intent to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to Ultrax Aerospace for support of their equipment, as Ultrax has exclusive rights to perform repairs, software upgrades, and calibration for these devices. Interested contractors must submit capability statements by June 13th demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements, however third party capability will only be considered if the agency determines outsourced calibration is feasible. The attached justification cites an interagency agreement requiring the use of Ultrax equipment, and the statement of work outlines the period of performance and services sought.
