About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking information from potential suppliers of carbine barrels to support an anticipated solicitation. The barrels must meet National Stock Number 014715456, which is currently only approved for manufacture by Colt under part number 12991851. Interested parties must submit qualification packages through DLA's Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request program if they wish to be approved as an alternate supplier and evaluated under the solicitation. Market survey responses are due by March 27, 2023.
The opportunity is set aside as a total small business procurement. Suppliers would be evaluated under NAICS 332216, machine shops, and PSC 1005, ammunition. The current incumbent is Colt as the approved manufacturer under NSN 014715456. Qualified alternate suppliers would be considered for award of an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for an estimated 50,000 carbine barrels per year over five years.
