Amendment 0001 is being attached to RFP SPRBL1-16-R-0008. As detailed in Section A of the Amendment, the range quantities associated with the production CLINs is being revised. Additionally, the Technical Specifications and Instructions document (Exhibit A in Section J of the RFP) is updated.
Becuase of this Amendment, the closing date of the RFP is extended until 1600 EST on January 29, 2016.

Amendment 0002 is being attached to RFP SPRBL1-16-R-0008. As detailed in Section A of the Amendment, the performance specification previously provided with the RFP is out of date. The 2010 performance specification is the correct one. Please contact Justin.Ruth@dla.mil to receive the updated performance specification.
Becuase of this Amendment, the closing date of the RFP is extended until 1600 EST on February 10, 2016.

This acquisition is for the procurement of a Battery Compartment, NSN: 5855-01-523-4058, which is a component of the AN/PVS-14, Monocular Night Vision Device. This item provides power to the AN/PVS-14 through a single AA battery and contains two switches for operator control of the device; a high light cutoff and an infrared light source. The proposed acquisition is for a five year, firm fixed price IDIQ contract with no option years.
The estimated annual quantity required by the Government is 15,000 per year, over the 5 year contract. The Government possesses detailed drawings for the Battery Compartment and a performance specification for the AN/PVS-14. This acquisition will be set-aside for small business. Based on market research, this item is manufactured for military use only and is not commercial; therefore, FAR Part 15 will apply to this acquisition.

This Synopsis was previously posted in FY15 under RFP number SPRBL1-15-R-0055. This is an updated Synopsis, posted concurrently with an updated Sources Sought through FedBizOpps.gov.
DLA Land at Aberdeen anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about November 18, 2015 for a five (5) year, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract, with an estimated maximum contract value of $9,801,142. The proposed action is for the acquisition of the Battery Compartment, NSN: 5855-01-523-4058, which is a component of the AN/PVS-14, Monocular Night Vision Device. This item provides power to the AN/PVS-14 through a single AA battery and contains two switches for operator control of the device; a high light cutoff and an infrared light source.
