About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation published a Special Notice of its intent to award a sole source contract. The Notice regards the purchase of 74 LS-DYNA software licenses from ANSYS, Inc. for conducting sophisticated non-linear dynamic analysis of concrete dams to ensure dam safety.
The Special Notice provides details on the planned sole source award to ANSYS for the software licenses. Interested parties were allowed to submit capability statements by March 30th for consideration, though award was anticipated to ANSYS by April 2022 based on the single source justification that LS-DYNA was the only product capable of simulating the complex dam analysis problems and was proprietary. The Notice instructs that responses must include a DUNS number and TIN, and the responding parties must have active SAM registration to be considered eligible for the potential award opportunity.
