About this opportunity
This Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 is for the procurement of 10,400 boxes of face shields from Medline Industries, Inc. at a price of $144 per box, or a total estimated value of $1,497,600, to address an unusual and compelling urgency due to the need to protect healthcare workers from COVID-19. Market research found no other suppliers that could meet the network's needs for these goods within the required timeline. The justification cites the national shortage of personal protective equipment and Medline's ability to deliver the required face shields within one week as the rationale for the limited competition procurement.
