Please note that the following questions and answers were posted on 23 August 2018:

1. Question: Do the existing workstations have overhead bins?
Answer: No.


2. Question: Are the cubicles going to be occupied during installation?
Answer: The cubicles are in use, but will be vacant during installation.


3. Question: Are current worksurfaces in cubicles freestanding or attached to the panels?
Answer: Worksurfaces are panel-attached.


6. Question: Is the Haworth product order to be drop shipped to the base?
Answer: Drop ship is acceptable, as long as the vendor can coordinate the shipment and be on site to receive the product.


7. Question: On the glass stack on finish, the packet has a grade C listed as the specified finish. There is a Satin Etch that gives a blurred/frosted appearance as a Grade C Option, or a Frosted Acrylic as a Grade D option. Is the Grade D option acceptable?
Answer: Only the Grade C, Satin Etch (or equal) is acceptable. The acrylic Grade D option is not considered equal.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation ("synopsitation" hereafter), which is expected to result in award of a Firm Fixed Price contract for commercial items, i.e., 16" H Stackers for 50 Haworth Compose Work Stations as described under the attachment titled "Statement of Work". This acquisition uses a Brand Name or Equal Purchase Description in accordance with FAR 52.211-6 and as described in the Statement of Work. The synopsitation is prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is conducted as a commercial item procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procecures (FAR Part 13). An award, if any, will be made to the responsible offeror who submits a proposal that (1) conforms to the requirements of the synopsitation; (2) complies with the requirements of the attached Statement of Work, as evidenced by providing a complete description of the items and installation provided; and (3) that submits the proposal with the lowest total evaluated price (TEP), provided that the TEP is not unbalanced and is determined to be fair and reasonable. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions or make no award at all depending upon (1) the quality of proposals received and (2) whether proposed prices are determined to be fair and reasonable.
