About this file
This document contains weed and fertilizer specifications for the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, detailing a comprehensive turf maintenance contract for 9 acres of Bermuda grass. The specifications outline four seasonal treatments (March, April, June, and September) involving soil aeration, pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control, and fertilization. Each treatment requires using the best available products for current weed growth and turf conditions, targeting specific grassy weeds including Dallisgrass, Virginia button weed, chamber bitter, and various sedges.
The contract requires the vendor to possess a professional horticulture services license, provide all necessary materials, equipment, and labor, and offer service calls for persistent weed control at no additional charge. A mandatory two-day notice must be given to Joseph Buschell before each application, and a pesticide application data sheet is required prior to treatment. The fertilizer formula will be determined by soil testing results, indicating a tailored approach to turf management that considers the specific conditions of the Veterans Memorial Cemetery grounds.
