Text version

1. The solicitation and PWS outlines the following CLINS. Please confirm that these CLINS are the ones that need to be priced.

a. Schedule I (Outbound) - CLINS 0001 through 0014

b. Schedule II (Inbound) - CLINS 0015 through 0030

c. Schedule III (Intra-City and Intra-Area) - CLINS 0031 through 0033

Response: Correct

2. On the Solicitation, PWS and CLIN LIST PRICE document there are a few quantities listed on the CLIN LIST PRICE document only (1003-AB, 1003-AD, 1003-AF, 1003-AI and 1009-AA). All the other CLINS have no quantities. Do we price each CLIN per one only?

Response: I revised the price list should be all the clins show 0 for the

NCWT and your company will provide with the estimated Net hundredweight

(NCWT), unit price in your RFP.

3. On the CLIN LIST PRICE document there are extra pages that consist of CLINS 0041 through 0100 and CLINS 1041 through 1100. Are these CLINS to be disregarded and not priced?

Response: not priced need

4. Some UAB services are NCWT and some are GCWT. Are the differences correct or should all UAB be GCWT?

Response: GCWT is used/calculated when a service member packs an item and no additional containerization is required. For example, a member has a footlocker and the item could be labeled and shipped as it. This is rare, therefore you would normally expect a fairly reduced rate from the contractor for performing this service.

NCWT is used/calculated when the shipment is containerized. We normally pay the NCWT because this coincides with the amount of property requiring packing and placement into a Government-owned container.

NCWT; 500 lbs. min HHG, 100 lbs. min on Baggage.

5. CLIN 0015 through CLIN 0022 in Schedule II - Inbound Services state that services include drayage from storage warehouses, air and surface transportation terminals, military installation shipping offices etc. DOES this mean that us as the contractor will be responsible for picking up the shipment from one of the locations above then transporting to OUR facility before delivery to the member/employee residence?

Response: These items are limited to services performed within the contract area of responsibility. There are no military air/surface transportation terminals within the areas serviced under this contract. There may however, be requirements for the contractor to be ordered to pick up a shipment from a storage warehouse within the contract area serviced, and/or pick a shipment from the transportation office for drayage back to your warehouse, and subsequently held and delivered to the service member within the contract service area.
