PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT

Performance Work Statement

1. ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVE

1.1 The U.S. Army Asymmetric Warfare Group (AWG), located at Fort Meade, Maryland and at Fort AP Hill, VA requires on-site strength and condition support. The primary effort will be conducted at the Ft. Meade location with some travel, no more than 15% of the work, may be performed at Ft. AP Hill.

1.2 Outcome: The Asymmetric Warfare Group will understand and apply a physical training approach with supporting health activities that ensures unit members excel in rigorous deployment environments and possess a high level of fitness in order to conduct embedded operations globally. The AWG’s goal is to optimize physical performance of its tactical athletes, improve its approach to physical readiness training and provide assistance to those who are recovering from injury or physical limitations. The end state is to ensure that AWG unit members are given the tools to be ready for the demanding operational deployments necessitated by the mission.

1.3 The proposed acquisition is to contract for strength and conditioning support as a part of AWG’s tactical performance mentorship program. It is one of three dimensions of the performance readiness program executed by AWG to prepare its unit operational and support personnel for the rigors of operational deployments.
