Requests for Information (Q&A) for AV 4 Sites Site Visit W912NR-19-Q-5030
Please answer the following questions:
a.) For the Bldg 202 Assembly Room: Are wireless presentation capabilities needed?
b.) For the Commanders Conference Room (Bldg 202): It was decided that a 4K display was not required but does the projector require 4K resolution or WUXGA resolution?
c.) Will laptop connections to the AV system be limited to the conference table (B202)?
d.) For the Training Room in Bldg 256: Is a wireless microphone needed for instructors?
e.) What size flat screen displays are required for each room (B265)? Answer: If talking about DCC and R260 then I would say 55” tvs.
f.) Are flat screen displays and projectors manufactured from a Most Favored Nation Status acceptable? Answer: Yes g.) Is it possible to get short term passes for technical personnel who will installing the systems so that they do not have to go through the visitors check in process each day? Answer: Yes. They will need to bring two forms of ID and get a background check done so they will have to stop by the visitors center to get in the system (before they are actually set to come here). From there once we get dates, they will be able to better assist in that. They will though have to check in more than likely though as a visitor (but the process will be fast since they already got put in the system and had their background check done).
AV Bid (4 Sites) questions by room:
1.) Assembly Room:
-The screen is described as motorized but does not specify ceiling recessed or wall mounted.
Which is required?
-A phone audio connection was discussed. Is this required?
-The bid document lists “Two 4K 55” monitors ceiling mounted to the rear of the room,” but on our walkthrough we discussed re-using the existing monitors that are mounted in the front of the room. Which scenario is required, and where should the monitors be mounted?
-Please list the number and type (HDMI/VGA) of inputs desired for this space.
-At the walkthrough, a matrixing system allowing 3 different images to be shown on the three displays was discussed. This type of system is not what is requested by the bid document. What is required?
- At the walkthrough we discussed a wireless microphone. Is this required in this space?
-The bid calls for new ceiling speakers, but re-using the existing speakers was discussed. What is required?
-A wireless connection to the system was discussed on site, but is not listed in the bid documents. Is this required?
2.) Commander’s Conference Room:
-At the walkthrough, it was said that a display would be unacceptable for the space and a projector is necessary. Please specify what type of display is desired.
-Are we to include a conference table in our quote?
-Please list the number and type of input sources for this space.
3.) Training Classroom:
-Please specify whether a projector or monitors are desired in this space. If monitors are desired, will the white boards be removed?
-Please list the number and type of inputs sources desired per side of the room.

4.) Deployment Control Center Office:
- At the walkthrough, a matrixing system was discussed. The provided equipment list in the bid document is not a matrixing system… what is required? Answer: The provided equipment in the bid was just a wag at what is needed. We would like a matrixing system (so you can say required) to be able to have a central point to switch back and forth between sources like the vendors mentioned via one location.
