Q1: If we could perform the work at Fort Meade Maryland could we forgo having to provide meals and lodging for the unit that needs training? Fort Meade is only about 40 minutes (33 miles) from Townson, MD.

Q3: Just to clarify, in the PWS pertaining to the above solicitation, the number of personnel is 45 whereas the number indicated on the Q and A is 30 personnel. Please confirm there are 30 and not 45. Also, the number of days of training will have to be 2.5 per group if both groups of 15 are swapping at the equal time. Is this correct?

Q4. PWS 2.5.2: Please provide the source document for the FEMA approved hotels for federal lodging. Does this reference hotels that accept the government per diem rate (FEMA employees) or rates for evacuees? Please clarify the requirement.
A4: The soldiers are considered federal travelers. Please refer to the following link concerning FEMA approved motels/hotels: https://apps.usfa.fema.gov/hotel/ . The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA), a directorate of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), maintains the National Master List (NML) of hotels and motels. The Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 encourages fire safety in places that offer lodging to the public. Fire safety is encouraged through creation of a national master list (NML) of hotel and motel properties that comply with the provisions of the Act.
Properties on the NML:
• Have voluntarily registered.
• Have at least one single-station and hard-wired smoke alarm in each guest room.
• Have an automatic fire sprinkler system in each guest room for buildings that are four or more stories tall.
• Are approved for U.S. federal government employees while on official travel. If your property is on the NML, it is eligible for lodging selection by federal travelers.
