About this file
This solicitation is for a maintenance dredging contract for the Savannah Inner Harbor in Georgia. Up to six million cubic yards of material will be removed from the harbor channel and turning basins using a hydraulic cutterhead dredge over the course of one year from notice to proceed. Work will be performed in the deep draft Savannah Harbor navigation project area, maintaining depths ranging from 30 to 42 feet below mean lower low water depending on location. All dredged material will be disposed of in several upland confined disposal areas adjacent to the Savannah River. Environmental windows constrain dredging periods to protect striped bass spawning and dissolved oxygen levels. The soliciting agency is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District.
