FROM:

Permeation grouting and tremie grouting are required for this project. Permeation grouting fills pores in granular soil, with flowable particulate grouts. Microfine cement grout is injected under pressure either through single port or multiple port pipes placed into the area to be grouted. The grout characteristics and soil void size must be properly matched to permit the microfine cement grout to enter the pores or voids. The foundation area to be grouted is shown on drawing S-101. The Contractor is responsible for developing and conducting all aspects of the permeation grouting plan with approval by the Contracting Officer.

The Contractor or its subcontractor must demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience in permeation grouting for the purpose of creating a seepage barrier.
