1.1 VESSEL DATA (INFORMATION). The Dredge Hurley is the newest dustpan dredge in the US Army Corps of Engineers Fleet. The Alaskan Crane Barge 8501 is a 58 feet in length, 11 feet in width vessel with a 25 ton crane specialized in lifting heavy loads. The homeport for both the dredge and the crane barge is Ensley Engineering Yard located at 2915 Riverport Rd, Memphis TN.

1.2 CONTRACTOR QUALITY CONTROL AND GOVERNMENT QUALITY

ASSURANCE (INFORMATION). The Contractor shall establish and maintain a quality control plan as specified in Section 2, Inspection and Acceptance. The Government will evaluate the Contractor’s performance in accordance with the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan as specified in Section 2, Inspection and Acceptance.

1.3 AS BUILT DRAWINGS (INFORMATION). Available.

The Government shall deliver the vessel to the contractor at his location after written notification of award from the Contracting Officer or the Contracting Officer Representative. The Contractor’s Naval architect will design the docking plan for the Dredge Hurley. (Note: The original docking plan for the Dredge Hurley is available from the Government upon request, but length of the Dredge Hurley was extended by 50 feet 5 years ago and this docking plan is no longer valid. No subsequent docking plan has been created since this extension.)

During Dry Dock Operations, the Contractor shall supply Shore Power to the Dredge Hurley, with a minimum of 480VAC, 3 Phase, 400 Amps, and toilet facilities for up to 40 crew while the MSD and Water tanks are down for repair.
