Statement of Work

1. Summary of Contract: A specified amount of barge/barges will be required to transport military equipment for training located within Alaska. The barge/barges will be used for large loads of equipment which may weigh over 1,000,000 lbs. The barge/barges will be loaded at the Port of Anchorage, Alaska by the awarded contracting company and must be transported to Old Harbor, Alaska. The contracting company will ensure that all military equipment will be properly secured to prevent any shifting during the transport. Upon arrival at Old Harbor, Alaska, the awarded contracting company will unload equipment. Military personal will be onsite to receive the equipment for their military operation. The barge/barges will depart from Old Harbor after all equipment has been completely unloaded. The barge/barges should return back to Old Harbor for reloading of the equipment by the contracting company. The barge/barges will transport back to Anchorage for unloading of equipment by the contracting company.

3. Requirements of contracting company:

A. Provide a secured location for equipment staging B. Loading and unloading of equipment C. Securing and bracing of equipment D. Transport to and from ports safely E. Stick to timeline of events F. Remain on-site until equipment has been completely loaded/unloaded G. Capable of transporting oversized military equipment H. Capable of hauling over 1.5 million pounds I. Capable of performing beach landings to unload equipment

4. Scope: The barge will be available in _________ port of Anchorage in order for the equipment to be loaded on the barge no later than 6 July 2021. The Barge needs to arrive at Old Harbor, AK no later than 1:00 pm (AK) on 10 July 2021. The barge must remain at Old Harbor, AK until all U.S Army military equipment has been unloaded. The barge must have sufficient capabilities to transport 46 pieces of military equipment and capable of hauling 1,671,485 pounds. Equipment listing quantities and characteristics (dimensions and weight) are provided within this contract. The barge must be loaded in Anchorage, AK in a secured seaport for military equipment staging on 5 July 2021 without the need for the military to provide security overnight. The barge must arrive back to Old Harbor, AK for the return to Anchorage, AK no later than 1:00 pm on 30 August 2021. The barge must remain at Old Harbor, AK until all military equipment is loaded. The barge must remain at Old Harbor, AK until no earlier than 1:00 pm 31 August 2021. The barge must arrive back to ________ port of Anchorage, AK no later than 1:00 pm 3 September 2021. The barge must provide sufficient time for the equipment to be unloaded. The barge must be able to perform beach landing in Old Harbor, AK. The barge company will be responsible for loading, unloading, blocking and bracing all equipment on the barge.
