PAYMENT COMPUTATION

The following tables shall be used to calculate the payment for each Class A, B and C cleanup service based upon satisfactory completion of each requirement in accordance with paragraph C.14. An uncorrected major defect shall result in computation of a deduction in payment for that service according to the following:

Class A Cleanup

PARAGRAPH REQUIREMENT PERCENT*

C.15.1 Policing Developed Park Areas and Roadways 50

C.15.7 Solid Waste Removal 50

Total: 100

C.15.2 Cleanup Restrooms, Shower Buildings and Vault Toilets 40

C.15.6 Cleanup Separate Water Fountains 10

C.15.7 Solid Waste Removal 30

Total: 100

Class C Cleanup

PARAGRAPH REQUIREMENT PERCENT*

C.15.1 Policing Developed Park Areas and Roadways 10

C.15.2 Cleanup Restrooms, Shower Buildings and Vault Toilets 25

C.15.3 Cleanup Group Shelters 10

C.15.4 Cleanup Picnic and Utility Tables (Day Use) 15

C.15.5 Cleanup Camp Sites 20

C.15.6 Cleanup Separate Water Fountains 5

C.15.7 Solid Waste Removal 15

Total: 100

*In the event that cleanup service for a specific park does not contain one or more of the above listed requirements due to the absence of the listed facilities, or reductions in services due to off-peak season deletes one or more requirement, the percentages for that requirement shall be divided evenly among the remaining.

COMPUTATION EXAMPLES:

EXAMPLE NO. 1

The unit price of one Class B Cleanup Service at Merrisach Lake Park costs $200.00. On June 15, a scheduled service day, one restroom was observed with a major defect in the cleanup service. The Contractor was contacted but failed to correct the defect prior to 4:00 p.m. that day. The deduction from payment would be calculated as follows:

$200 x 40% = $80, the percent value of Paragraph C.15.2 deducted from one Class B Cleanup unit price. The amount of the deduction would therefore be $80.00 plus the re-inspection cost.

EXAMPLE NO. 2

The unit price of one Class A Cleanup Service at Merrisach Lake Park costs $100.00. On May 15, five (5) trash receptacles in

Merrisach Lake Park were observed to have not been serviced. The Contractor was contacted but failed to correct the defects prior to

4:00 p.m. that day. The deduction in payment would be calculated as follows:

$100 x 50% = $50, the percent value of Paragraph C.15.7 deducted from one Class A Cleanup unit price. The amount of the deduction would therefore be $50.00 plus the re-inspection cost.

RE-INSPECTION COSTS:

If the Contractor fails to satisfactorily correct defects reported, deductions shall be made for actual costs to the Government for labor and vehicle expense not to exceed $25.00 per park that is re-inspected. Vehicle expenses shall be computed at $0.25 per mile.
