SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
SUMMARY OF CHANGES
Attachment to Amendment 0001 Government Response to Industry Questions Uplands Site Prep (Construction) W9124M-16-B-0026 27 September 2016
Industry Questions
Government Responses
| 1. I was reviewing the information on FBO and the SF 1442 in regard to the site visit information on 20 September. Do we need to supply information on who will be attending or do/will they need special security clearance? | |
You do not have to provide name(s) of attendees prior to the site visit. The attendees will require a valid identification card. Valid ID includes a Driver’s license, State ID, DD Form 1173 (Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card), DD Form 2 series or a passport issued by an authoritative agency (state/federal). Personnel under the age of 18 will not have a background check, and may enter the installation when escorted by a valid pass holder. Please visit http://www.stewart.army.mil/info/?id=391 for more information regarding access to Fort Stewart.
2. Can I get the recommended supplier for the articulated Block System CC35, CC70, and CC90?
The Government does not recommend suppliers.
3. Can you confirm that the government has a preferred manufacturer of the Articulated Concrete Block Systems specified in Specification 402?
The Government does not recommend manufacturers.
4. The quantity for Bid Items 0005 through 0010 for the Articulated Concrete Block Systems is shown as 10 SF; however, these systems are typically manufactured in mats that are 4 feet by 16 feet (64 SF) and the best pricing comes with full truck load quantities; 8 assembled mats per truckload; or 512 SF. Will the government consider changing the quantity for these bid items?
Bid Items 0005 through 0010 will be ordered through individual Task Orders for Articulated Concrete Block (ACB) when needed. The quantities ordered are based upon actual in-place ACB in accordance with plans and varies according to task order. Quantity ordered on the task order is measured to the nearest SF, therefore, the Government will not change the estimate quantities or unit of issue.
5. The specification for bid item number 0067 structural removal states that the volume will be computed as crushed or equivalent crushed volume and shall be removed from immediate to designated area as approved by Contracting Officer’s Representative. Since this scope includes the removal of the crushed volume of the structure as well as site restoration including grading to drain, we presume that the crushed materials will be loaded onto a truck and placed as directed. Can the government provide an assumption for the distance the materials will need to be hauled and the type of site restoration typically required for this item?
IAW Paragraph 414.(Excavation) 2(General Specifications).c (Construction).ii (Disposal).1, “Sites are to be designated by Contracting Officer’s Representative and are generally within 3 Miles. Distances over three (3) mile radius distance will be determined, measured and paid IAW construction specifications, Hauling.” In so far as, “the type of site restoration typically required for this item”, in the specification, there is no mention of “site restoration”, please refer to specification bid items for required work.
6. Will the government share the site visit sign in sheet with the attendees at the recent site visit?
Yes, the names for all the sites visits will be furnished as part of Amendment 0001.
