1.) Ft. Jackson operates on a Motorola Astro 25 9600 Baud Trunking Network. Do the radios requested in this solicitation require the ability to operate on this network? Yes 2.) Radio users on the Ft. Jackson Land Mobile Radio (LMR) System require their radios to be encrypted using the AES Encryption Algorithm. Do the requested radios require AES Encryption? Yes 3.) Radio users on the Ft. Jackson LMR System that use encryption require the capability of changing encryption keys over the air (OTAR). Is OTAR a requirement for the radios requested? Yes 4.) Is any warranty or extended warranty required for the radios requested in this solicitation?
5.) What color do the radios need to be (i.e. Black, Yellow, Impact Green)? Impact Green 6.) Do the radios requested require a ruggedized housing? Yes Ruggedized housing 7.) Is there a requirement for any spare batteries, remote speaker mics, radio chargers, or any other accessories as part of this solicitation? If chargers are required, do they need to be single or multi-unit (6 bay) chargers? Yes requirement for 12 NNTN8575A Remote speaker Mics and two 6 bank multi chargers.
8.) Is installation required for any of the APX8500 Mobile Radios? Yes all mobile radios will require installation.
9.) Will the government be reusing any existing antennas for the APX8500 Mobile Radios or will the vendor need to provide antennas as part of their response? Government will re-use UHF/VHF antennas but will need new 800MGHZ antennas installed.
10) Are all 8500 mobiles requested traditional setups or do some, if any, require control/base station operation? Six are standard mobile installations with one control station set up in a office.
