SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET

The following have been added by full text:

RESPONSE TO VENDOR QUESTIONS

1. We have a question concerning section 5.2.2. Currently, single stream recycling is not offered at these locations and we were hoping you could change this section to state cardboard recycling instead of single stream recycling.

Government Response: The Vendor will need to coordinate with the municipality for each region to determine what is accepted. The PWS is generic & covers several different options for types of recycling accepted & not all options will be available at all locations. PWS 5.2.2 is giving examples of the different labeling and options. PWS 5.2.2 states "Dumpsters/containers shall be labeled according to the type of service provided such as: "Refuse (and prohibited items such as tires), single stream service (newspapers, cardboard, plastic, aluminum and junk mail), commingled recycling (plastic, aluminum and glass) and cardboard only. Dumpsters/containers shall be labeled with the name and phone number of the servicing vendor." The contractor should label the containers provided based on what is accepted.

2. This solicitation is requesting commingled recycling. This area currently is only accepting OCC. Is this acceptable?
