The following have been added by full text:
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
QUESTION 1: Note: A1.3 roof plan indicates existing roof is standing seam. At the site visit, it was noted that the existing building is a screw down roof. Do we match existing or change existing to standing seam?
Answer: The roof is new for existing and the expansion, standing seam.
QUESTION 2: Spec: 133419 page 3 Submittals 1.04 D requires pier and grade beam foundation design with shop drawings. Plan S1.1 is a foundation design, is another one required?
Answer: S1.1 is the foundation design.
QUESTION 3; Spec: 133419 page 4 F item 1 calls for girts/purlins to be zinc coated. Please confirm.
Answer: Yes, that is what the spec calls for.
QUESTION 4: See the attached picture of the existing in floor heat piping. How should this be addressed?
Answer: See call-out M3 on sheet M1.1.
QUESTION 5: What is the gauge of the metal stud walls at the 9A walls, the soffit and short wall at the coiling door detail 12/A1.2, ceilings at the toilet rooms 107 & 108, and the soffits at the showers of 110 & 111?
Answer: 18 GA
QUESTION 6:Detail 2/A3.1 indicates 3 5/8” metal studs and insulation above the CMU walls, structural plans show metal framing above CMU to be 8” 18 gauge (detail 3/S2.2). Which is correct? If the 3 5/8” metal studs are correct what is the gauge? Also, no gypsum board is shown, just the metal liner panels. I just wanted to verify that there is no gypsum board required at this detail.
Answer: 8” 18 GA per structural. No gypsum board required, just metal panels over stud framing.
QUESTION 7: Does the wall between open office 113/Reception 114 and Mens 112/Locker 115 get metal framing and insulation above the CMU wall, or doe the CMU wall go to the deck. The reflected ceiling sheet A1.3 indicates that the wall goes to the deck. If metal stud framing and insulation is required, is there any gypsum board required?
Answer: Should be insulated metal stud framing from top of CMU to roof deck with gyp. bd on one side only.
QUESTION 8: The new door location in the existing structure falls in an X-Brace bay required for the structure. Please advise whether door could be moved into an adjacent bay OR portal framing in the existing x-brace bay is required.
Answer: This issue will be addressed after award during construction.
QUESTION 9: Please confirm that PVC sanitary is acceptable below slab;
Answer: Follow details and isometrics on P1.1, P1.2 and P5.1
QUESTION 10: Please confirm that it is acceptable to run supply water lines above slab;
Answer: Follow details and isometrics on P1.1, P1.2 and P5.1
QUESTION 11: Please provide soil boring reports noted on sheet C1.5;
Answer: Report is attached to the specification, approximate page number is 515.
QUESTION 12: Will a wetlands permit be required prior to directional boring?
Answer: No, wetlands should not be disturbed so a permit will NOT be required.
QUESTION 13: How quickly will shop drawings on the metal building be processed? The intent is to erect prior to winter so that interior work may continue thru the cold.
Answer: The shop drawings will be reviewed as workload permits and the quality of the submittals. Construction start also will be dictated on award date.
QUESTION 14: Please confirm that the superintendent may perform as the QC manager.
Answer: Yes
