QUESTION AND ANSWERS 2
Q1. 90 DBA is the limit that osha requires.
A1. The requirement is 85 as stated in 4.1.1 of the PD.
Q2. its states down draft, i think you mean side down draft, a downdraft booth cuts into the concrete floor and tunnels outside the booth and comes out the side, please see attachments for each and please clarify
A2. LEAD requires downdraft ventilation in the booth area. This is not a downdraft paint booth with filters in the floor. The downdraft effect is generated through supply air coming into the booth from above and floor slots pulling the air down throughout the booth. The purchase description (PD) is a design spec with desired ventilation described in 4.2.3 and general requirements in 4.2.1.
Q3. power is 480 3ph but offers no neutral, is there a neutral for the lights so it can be on 277 ? or does this have to be 110?
A3. Power is 3 phase with a neutral and a ground.
Q4. Given the DBA requirements it would be prudent to make it a double insulated booth, keep heat in and noise down. do you any type of booth drawing that you want us to follow?
A4. The PD is a design specification. If double insulation accomplishes all the design specifications such as section
4.2.1 for general requirements and section 4.2.4 for booth requirements than it would meet design criteria. All design criteria in the PD are still required.
