SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been added by full text:

AMENDMENT 01

1. The purpose of this Amendment is to answer industry questions and update the statement of work.

2. Industry questions and answers are as follows:

1. Would you accept partial shipments?

Yes, the Government will accept partial shipments as soon as they are available.

2. If partial shipments are appropriate, could the contractor receive partial acceptance in order to receive payment for the delivered items, as long as he/she completes the requirements of Paragraphs (Par.) 4.1 and

4.2 of the solicitation, and provides all training and documentation required of the partial delivered machines?

The Government can provide partial acceptance and payment for partial shipments.

3. Per Par. 4.2 - Performance test, do you need a demonstration of the machines capabilities by the contractor, or actual training (per Par. 4.3 Acceptance)?

Not required. Previous Par. 4.2 removed.

4. Contractor’s demonstration (after completion of minor assembly and set up by Government employees) does it apply to every single unit, or one of each type?

Not required. Previous Par. 4.2 removed.

5. During the repair of items under warranty, many steps and factors are involved in the process (please see below) where a 48-hour turn-around window is not achievable:

Backlog of machines awaiting repair at authorized warranty service center Troubleshooting time Inability to duplicate problem Repair parts not in-stock at manufacturer Repair parts shipping delays

Changes have been made, refer to updated SOW.

6. Would the Contracting Officer consider receiving repair updates on a continuous (every 2-3 days, weekly, etc.) basis?

Repair updates are needed at least weekly, unless more frequent updates are requested by the Contracting Officer.

7. The requested wheeled cart for power supply and wire feeder (Miller part number 195445, item 0005 of solicitation, qty: 66) is not compatible with the ordered, qty: 59, dual feeders. A compatible one would be the Running gear Cylinder Rack (Miller part number 300408), which is also compatible with the qty: 24, single feeders ordered. Can you please confirm if you need single or dual feeder carts, or if the recommended cart is acceptable since it is compatible for both, single and dual feeders?

Refer to what is specified on the SOW.

8. Item 0009 of solicitation calls for a Guide wire Inlet, Nylon, for wire size .023 to .052 (Miller part number 221912). However, this part number is for Aluminum wire, size .035 to 1/16, For the size of wire called for (.23 to .52), the part number is 221030. Which one do you need?

Refer to what is specified on the SOW.

9. Item 0011 of solicitation calls for qty: 82, Industrial MIG 4/0 Kit, Lug Connections (Miller part number 300390) which are only compatible with single-wire feeders. Do you need kits for the dual feeders (Miller part number 300957)? It will be more cost effective buying these ones than buying the single ones for each feeder, and we could match the quantities to the number of single and dual feeders ordered. Which one do you need?

Refer to what is specified on the SOW.

10. In Section 1.0 “Scope”: “The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to deliver, demonstrate functional operation and provide warranty service for the welding power supplies and ancillary equipment.” Later in the solicitation, section 2.2, it states the Government will be “Providing employee(s) with a demonstration of functional operation of the welding power supplies and ancillary equipment”. Can you further clarify the Contractor and Government responsibilities regarding demonstrating functional operation?

Not required, “Providing employee(s) with a demonstration of functional operation of the welding power supplies and ancillary equipment” removed from SOW.

11. In Section 1.0 “Scope”: “The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to deliver, demonstrate functional operation and provide warranty service for the welding power supplies and ancillary equipment.” Later in the solicitation, section 4.2 “Performance Test” The solicitation reads “The Government will provide the components to be tested.” Does this include welding wire, shielding gas, safety gear and material to be welded? Or will the contractor be responsible for bringing those items onsite?

Not required.

12. In Section 2.2 “Government”: “The Government will be responsible for: Minor assembly and setup of equipment after delivery” Can the Government provide a timeframe for this assembly and setup? (i.e., 2 weeks, 2 months, 6 months).

13. In Section 4.3 “Acceptance”: “The Government will accept the equipment only after the Contractor successfully completes the requirements of Paragraphs 4.1 and 4.2 above and provides all training and documentation required herein.”. Does this mean the contractor cannot be paid until the equipment is delivered, assembled, tested, and accepted by the ANAD Contracting Officer? Is there a timeframe for completion of this contract after delivery is made?

3. The updates statemetn of work is incorperated below. All other version and obsolete.

4. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
