The boring logs indicate dewatering is most likely not required, however the spec requirements for dewatering should it be necessary are fairly robust. In addition, Spec Section 00 00 02, Page 1 calls for a unit quantity price of 2,000 gallons of dewatering. Since the extent and requirements for dewatering will not be known until construction is underway, should all bidders carry an allowance for dewatering? If so, please indicate the allowance which should be carried.
Alternatively, will an updated SF1442 be provided to allow bidders to list unit quantities matching that of Spec Section 00 00 02, Page 1, i.e. 2,000 gallons of dewatering?

From the site visit, there appears to be potential sub‐surface ledge at the building site. Since the extent and requirements for rock removal will not be known until construction is underway, should all bidders carry an allowance for rock removal? If so, please indicate the allowance which should be carried.
Alternatively, will an updated SF1442 be provided to allow bidders to list unit quantities matching that of Spec Section 00 00 02, Page 1, i.e. 50 cy of rock removal?
26‐May‐22 2‐Jun‐22 6‐Jun‐22
Contractor shall NOT carry a "allowance". All removal of materials will be handled IAW clause 52.236‐2 Differing Site Conditions.
06/06/22
Specs call for us to carry 1,500 tons of excess soil disposal in the base bid. Specs also indicate we can dispose of excess soil on Base if there is room as approved by the Contracting Officer. 26‐May‐22 2‐Jun‐22 6‐Jun‐22
Soil can remain on base of the soil is clean.
06/06/22
We have not been able to locate a similar clause for disposal of rock. Please confirm if excess rock can remain on base or if bidders need to include costs to relocate off‐site. If off‐site, can an allowance be provided to be carried by all bidders, or will this be addressed in an updated Unit Quantities list per question above?
26‐May‐22 2‐Jun‐22 6‐Jun‐22
Rock will be relocated off Base. See specification section 01 20 00.
