Based on our 6/8/21 site visit, the exsiting hallway side has a custom wall covering/laminate installed. A spcificaiton on this wall covering product was not provided as such, please confirm that is is the governments desire for the contractor to fill the doorway area with CMU finished and painted to matach the existing wall covering color? If not, please provide a specification for the existing wall covering installed ontop of the CMU?

Would the government accept an alternate option to install drywall (finished and painted to match existing conditions) in lieu of CMU in the door opening

2.1.2 Floors: Tile shall be removed. The exposed floor
shall be cleaned and prepared to receive new tile floor.
2.3 Floors: Contractor shall install 1ft x 2ft tile. Tile shall resemble stone, come in a gray like color, and be of quality material/durable. Installation shall use membrane or similar material under tile to aid in durability. Grout between tiles shall match and flow with project color palate.
Section 2.3 reads that the new floor shall be grouted ceramic tiles. As a contractor recommendation we recommend going with either a VCT (Adhered) or Lamniate Vinyl Tile (Adhered). This will provide a more durable floor that is easier to maintain adgjacent to a gym area. Please advise if the goverments desire is indeed to have a ceramic tiled and grouted floor or will the goverment consider a LVT floor with a (Waterproof Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) core that is fully adhered and looks like tile)?

The existing VCT is an excellent subfloor as it is already bonded and adhered to the exisiting slab. Assuming new VCT or LVT tiling is acceptable for the new floor, is it acceptble for the contractor to install new flooring ontop of exisitng in lieu of demolition of exisitng floors?

All cabinetry hinges must be concealed. All drawer slides must, at a minimum, be ball bearing, non-slamming slides. Sample cabinets and colors, as well as incorporated hardware, must be provided by the contractor for final approval by the COR prior to purchase and installation.
C. Cabinet hardware will be Satin Nickel 1-3/4 in.
