About this file
This document contains responses to vendor questions regarding a solicitation to replace apron lights at a Maryland Air National Guard facility. The solicitation seeks to replace existing high-pressure sodium lamps with new LED lamps and associated work. Key details include that a pre-proposal meeting and site visit will be held on May 26, 2020, with vendors required to notify the contract officer of attendees by the prior Friday. Questions are due five business days before the proposal due date. The work will involve installing all new wiring to power light towers, with defined areas of airfield pavement where trenching is prohibited without approval. Control systems must be modified to allow manual dimming from three designated locations. A bird deterrent system is required on all light poles to specifically stop ospreys from nesting.
