1. Proposed plan calls for the bathroom to have epoxy flooring, but doesn’t specifically call out or identify the flooring type in the locker room. We assume it will also be epoxy. Please confirm.

Answer: Epoxy flooring should continue throughout both the locker room and bathroom area, to include the showers.

1. There is an existing sprinkler system located in the bathroom. There is no proposed plan for the sprinkler system shown in the (PWS). Do we need to include the fire protection system in our proposal and what is the plan for this scope of work?

Answer: The existing sprinkler system should still cover the new area, we are not adding new spaces, therefore, a new system should not be needed, nor should any sprinkler heads need to be relocated. If that is needed, we can address during construction and potentially modify the contract as needed.

1. Regarding the (PWS) section II “Proposed Work” letter I it calls out to install bathroom accessories where applicable ( ADA bar, toilet paper dispenser, paper towel dispenser, soap dispenser. The proposed plan drawing does not show where these are in the bathroom area. Can you provide a drawing locating where these accessories are to be installed at, or is the requirement to meet the minimum ADA requirements.

Answer: The Performance Work Statement (PWS) is outlining what is required, which would be anything needed for a bathroom to be both ADA compliant, but also for regular use (soap dispensers, etc.) It will be up to the contractor to ensure that they are providing a complete and usable bathroom with all necessary accessories.

1. In the PWS section 2.a.iii. it states the new ceiling in the bathroom shall meet all code requirement/fire rating as appropriate. Without having a full review of the building, can it be determined by the government what fire rating the ceiling should be? Or is it safe to assume the existing ceiling met those requirements.

Answer: Recommend drywall ceiling be ¾” thick to meet fire code requirements.

1. We were not able to find the 126ARW interior finish standards that were to be attached. Could you provide direction on how to find that finish schedule for the new tile. I believe we have an old copy of those standards but want to make sure we are up to date.

Answer: See attached for the finish standards. Some standards have changed, however, we can address those during material submittals.
