RFI #3
1.) In response to answer to #3 of RFI #1. We would like to confirm that chips do not have to removed from the property. Chips do not need to be removed from base. Chips on the eastern fence line must not be left on airport authority property. Chips must be piled up in a designated area by COR. Furthermore, chips that are left around the rest of base must not exceed a depth of two inches. Mounds of chips are not allowed to be left around base. Excess chips will need to be placed in the same designated area by COR.
2.) Existing fence has bottom tension wire. Drawing STD 872-90-05 fence detail shows bottom rail.
SOW section 1.2 letter G states bottom tension wire. Please confirm which is required method.
Tension wire is sufficient for bottom portion of fence fabric. Must be wire or bottom rail.
3.) With the existing double cable barrier not holding a crash rating, will it need to be replaced in its entirety to conform with the P2 penetration rating or does this requirement only apply to new cable barrier? – Replacing the existing cabling will not be required to bring up-to-code. –C
4.) With the requirement for the cable fencing to be crash rated, what is the crash rating (i.e. – M30, M40, M50)? – M50 will be required of the crash rated cabling.
