Solicitation Questions and Answers

POV Parking Lights- CSS 4457

Q1- 11.3.1.1: Are OSHA-30 trained individuals necessary on site for this project?

A1- They are not. Section 11.3.1.1. has been removed from SOW.

Q2- 11.3.2.1 (11.7.3): Are DOD CAC credentials required for this project (work outside of building)? If so, when (at bid time or to begin actual work?). Also - how many (11.7.2 mentions a minimum of 3;

elsewhere it is 2).

A2- No. Section 11.3.2.1. has been removed from SOW.

Q3- 11.4.2: Will storage be available inside the fenced area?

A3- Storage shall be coordinated with COR and/or RFOS and as per section 1.1.1. of SOW.

Q4- Will the period of performance be extended if manufacturer lead time is significantly long?

A4- Contractor shall maintain project communication with COR at all times. Only the COR is able to approve POP times.

Q5- In the SOW it specifies concrete steel reinforced pole bases. Can direct burial poles be used?

A5- No. Contractor shall supply and install poles as shown in SOW.

Q6- Are there any windloads that the new installed poles need to meet?

A6- Contractor shall adhere to the UFGS guidance specifications.

Q7- Is the Government or Contractor responsible for locating sub surface utilities? If so are there any drawings available showing existing electrical, sanitary, water, irrigation, fiber or telecom lines?

A7- Yes. As per section 11.2.1.: Contractor shall notify “WV811 – Call before you dig” as per

WV State Law. WV State Law requires WV811 be notified a least two business days prior to excavation. WV811 – 1-800-245-4848.

Q8- Are there any amp hour battery specifications for this contract or is it the responsibility of the

Contractor to ensure there is enough reserve power for inclement weather conditions?

A8- Contractor shall supply and install lighting systems in accordance with but not limited to section

11.8.1. of the SOW.
