SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following have been added by full text:
AMENDMENT A0002
The purpose of amendment A0002 to solicitation W15QKN-19-Q-1148 is to provide answers to questions submitted in relation to the statement of work.
Q. When were the following line items actually pumped or cleaned out. Could you kindly provide the date they were last pumped ?
A.
1) Septic Tanks @ 8 locations:
Four of the systems were constructed within the last two years and have never been pumped out. These four systems are located at TA-9A North, TA 9A South, Building FBI 05 and Building 4322 as shown on Technical Exhibit 4. The other four systems were last pumped in 2016.
2) Grease Traps @ 8 locations:
The grease traps were last pumped in May of 2019.
3) Catch Basins (all 286 of them) The catch basins were last cleaned in fall of 2018.
Q. Is there an established waste stream for the catch basin material that will be removed?
A. There is no established waste stream for the catch basin material. The PWS requires that the contractor dispose of the material offsite in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Q. If not will the materials need to be tested and what tests will be required?
A. Catch basin cleanings removed from storm water collection systems are typically classified as solid waste by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP). MassDEP does not routinely require storm water catch basin cleanings to be tested before disposal unless there is evidence that they have been contaminated by a spill or some other means. None of the catch basins included in the contract are known to be contaminated or are associated with combined or sanitary sewers which would require the cleanings to be sampled prior to disposal.
Q. Hanscom AFB required certain testing of the materials we removed from the basins and they provided a separate line item and CLIN for those tests. I didn't see any line items for testing. Please advise.
A. No testing will be required.
