About this file
This Statement of Work describes the procurement of five automated portable water samplers by the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Field Research Implementation and Information Delivery Midwest Area. The samplers require a minimum 512kb memory, direct compatibility with multi-parameter sondes, weatherproof casing for outdoor use, compatibility with ISCO equipment and Flowlink Software to maintain research continuity, and a bottle configuration of either 24 1-liter bottles or 8 2-liter bottles. The samplers will be used by the Soil Drainage Research Unit to measure water quality from surface runoff and subsurface tile drainage from agricultural fields in the Western Lake Erie Basin to improve understanding of nutrient and hydrologic dynamics. Delivery of the five samplers is required before January 1st to the specified address for field testing.

Statement of Work (SOW) Automated portable water samplers
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Purpose is to procure 5 automated portable water samplers. The samplers will allow to measure water quality coming from surface runoff and subsurface tile drainage from agricultural fields in the Western Lake Erie Basin. This will improve our understanding of nutrient and hydrologic dynamics in these systems.
2.0 Background: SDRU is conducting research in Northwest and Central, Ohio to examine how agricultural conservation practices impact nutrient losses at the edge-of-field. The data collected using these samplers will add to our existing dataset to better quantify hydrologic losses from surface runoff and subsurface drainage from agricultural fields in Ohio. The data collected from these samplers can also be used for existing and new projects with LTAR, Ohio State University, University of Kentucky, and other research institutions in which our unit collaborates with.
