Statement of Work
Project: Acquire Liquid Handling System
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Acquire new Liquid Handling system for use in ongoing laboratory testing protocols.
2.0 Background: The laboratory currently uses multiple QIAcube Liquid Handling system, one of which is nearing its end of life. This procurement shall be a replacement and upgrade to capabilities of that unit.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
• Liquid Handling System must process a minimum of 12 spin-column based samples per run.
• Liquid Handling System must include, at minimum:
o Variable shaker – minimum 150 rpm – maximum 2000 rpm o Centrifuge – maximum 12000 xg capability o Heating – up to 70℃ o UV sterilization
• Liquid Handling System must be compatible with all spin-column based kits available through Qiagen to continue operating with existing equipment, maintain continuity with existing equipment and reduction of variability between systems and consumables used in testing.
• Liquid Handling System must be able to add custom protocols via thumb drive.
• Due to lab bench constraints, footprint of system shall not exceed 23”w x 25”d x 32”h (closed).
• System shall NOT require programming to run protocols above technical support provided protocols that are uploaded into the machine via thumb drive.
• Qty: 1 system
Trade-in:
• QIAcube, Serial Number #11728. Fair condition.
4.0 Deliverables/Schedule: Shall be delivered onsite within 60 days of date of award.
5.0 Evaluation Factors Technical compatibility and price with technical acceptability more important than price.
