Statement of Work

ABI QUANTSTUDIO 3 REAL-TIME PCR SYSTEM

SERVICE AGREEMENT – Base + 4 Option Years

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: Contractor will provide OEM factory trained engineers to perform one (1) preventive maintenance service visit annually and on-demand repair services on the Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 3 Real-Time PCR System located at 1920 Dayton Avenue in Ames Iowa.

Anticipated Base + 4 Option Year Contract Period of Coverage:

Base Year - 9/26/2023-9/25/2024 Option Year 1 – 9/26/2024-9/25/2025 Option Year 2 - 9/26/2025-9/25/2026 Option Year 3 – 9/26/2026-9/25/2027 Option Year 4 – 9/26/2027-9/25/2028

Covered components will include:

1) Quantstudio 3 Real-Time PCR Instrument and vendor supplied computer

2.0 Background: Preventive maintenance has been procured for this instrument since it was purchased in 2018 to ensure continued & reliable operation in support of the NADC research mission.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:

OEM factory-trained engineers to perform annual preventative maintenance visit equivalent to OEM AB Assurance Plan to include but not limited to check of the following to ensure optimal performance of the instrument:

1) Assess instrument location for interference with optimal instrument performance.

2) Perform computer maintenance:

A. Record computer hardware/software information B. Ensure that latest version of QuantStudio Design and Analysis Software is installed on computer C. Verify correct settings on power options D. Remove all dust from computer E. Run Disk Cleanup Utility F. Defragment the computer

G. Check, download and install latest version of instrument firmware version.

H. Remove instrument covers and inspect all interior surfaces and wiring as well as clean all surfaces and fans. Ensure cables are secure and routed correctly.

I. Ensure instrument touchscreen responds to touch commands.

J. Ensure a USB drive icon is displayed when drive is inserted into instrument.

K. Run system self-tests

3) Perform Thermocycler maintenance:

A. record temperature verification tool B. run Manufacturing Test and Servicing Suite Software heated cover temperature accuracy test C. run Manufacturing Test and Servicing Suite Software block cycle rate verification test D. run Manufacturing Test and Servicing Suite Software block temperature non uniformity verification test E. complete ROI, background and uniformity calibrations

Contractor will provide telephone support to the customer location.

On demand repair visits will be included as required for continued operation.

Repair parts are to be included unless otherwise stated in this statement of work.

4.0 Government Furnished: Government-furnished support is limited to security access to the equipment in the NADC facility, replacement parts not otherwise covered under this agreement, AC power (110VAC) and standard office lighting.

6.0 Travel: One (1) preventive maintenance service visit will be provided by the contractor. All service visits will be coordinated with the Technical Point of Contact listed below.

7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Only OEM factory trained engineers are to perform any service procedure on the Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 3 Real-Time PCR System.

8.0 Security Requirements: A copy of an official government photo ID (State-issued driver’s license or ID card, passport, green card, etc.) must be provided no later than one week before arrival of contract service technician(s) except in the case of emergency service, were only the name of the technician provided via email or telephone will be necessary. Security access to the NADC facility will be provided based on this identification requirement.
